Change Detail : 5G network team has scheduled maintenance window to perform annual generator maintenance works at the - Melbourne Data Centre (MDC) as part of our comprehensive maintenance program. During the maintenance window, specialist vendors and 5GN DC Facility team will be onsite to perform generator load testing works.
This activity involves simulating a mains failure (main will be available at all times) in order to test the automation of the UPS and generator infrastructure. Whilst site is confirmed to be stable on EPG (Emergency Power Generator) supply, various maintenance inspections will be carried out before returning site back to Utility supply.
5GN Service Management team, DC Facility Management and specialist vendors will monitor the health of services throughout the change window. This activity has been planned to ensure the highest operational standards are maintained and to minimise the risk of disruption to your operational environment.
During the maintenance windows, all services (Smart Hands, installations, work visits, etc.) will continue in accordance with our normal procedures.
